What’s Now

Currently, there are numerous aspects that provide inspiration for my work in the workshop. These include diverse activities such as writing, engaging with learning tools, immersing myself in reading various books, enjoying a thoughtfully curated selection of music, exploring enlightening YouTube channels, and listening to thought-provoking podcasts. Each of these elements plays a significant role in shaping my creative process and enhancing my productivity.

Music

Basket Case, by Green Day. This song, fills the morning air in the workshop with its buzzing and lively melodies, serving as the perfect wake-up sound. It blends elements of Punk rock, pop punk, and alternative rock, creating a unique and energizing atmosphere especially to start the day.

Time Is Running Out ,by Muse. This song sounds loud when doing administration work or what i called as ‘‘unpleasant bureaucracy’’, packaging the electrical plan set and filling out boring government documents for building permit submission.

Sunshine on Leith, by Proclaimers. This song rings the bell to stop what I am doing and get back to the family…work never finishes but moments with your kids have limited time.. a great mix of pop rock, electropop, pop, indie pop, indie rock, arena rock, and alternative rock.

Podcasts

Gary Hayes (Electricians Podcast). Getting the latest electrical news from UK. Gary is an inspiration to me in my teaching role the last couple of years and what he taught me is how you can make an impact in the electrical market through learning transfer. Talking to him a couple of times on the phone and messenger texts, he was always helpful and keen to watch the videos that I prepared for my students, make remarks about personal gear and content creation and push me to open my own electrical channel on social media.

Κώστας & Γιάννος ( Netcast Zone). Necessary break from work routine. This podcast is what we call in Cyprus ‘’ chit-chat with coffee’’. I can’t listen to them really for more than 45 minutes, but these two lads make me laugh with their storytelling.

Creating

E‑learning platform for delivering electrical training courses. I’ve been prepping my e-learning platform with my curated resources: videos, downloadable worksheets, guides and courses around electrical installation and electrical design both as a stand-alone module or a bundle. Every course is designed in such way to include both video lessons, course notes, good practice guides and exercises that utilize real life scenarios for a complete learning experience.
